ABOUT THE ART
Cancer Constellation is part of a set of 32 astronomical star chart cards called Urania's Mirror, or, a view of the Heavens, first published in 1824. (Check out Cassiopeia and Monoceros in our collection.) The original set was engraved by Sidney Hall (~1788-1831), a British engraver and cartographer well known for his early 19th-century atlases containing maps of the United Kingdom and the ancient world.
